The White House has a Facebook page so that it can reach out to the key audience on Facebook. It has a Twitter account where it can reach out to the key audience on Twitter. Github’s not a source code repository hosting environment, it’s a social network for developers. For all the talk about government contests for developers, government ought to be using Github to reach out.
